How to Measure for an Insert

How to Measure for an Insert

Want to get a head start on replacing your old fireplace? You can start by measuring your current fireplace, to give you more of an idea of which inserts you should be looking at.

Most fireplaces will curve in the back, which will make G and H a little bit tricky.

For the depth at top of the fireplace, all you have to do is measure, in a straight line, from the face to the back. This will tell us how much of a curve there is and how much room we have to work with.

For the back height, measure from the bottom, to where the curve starts.

Be sure to contact the VGF team if you need any help, or if you want to know your options for a fireplace insert.
